About SEP

The Science Education Partnership (SEP) at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center has been fostering relationships between research scientists and over 500 secondary school science teachers across Washington state for the last 27 years. Through mentorship programs, trainings and workshops participating teachers can learn molecular biology techniques and participate in lab research. Additionally, they can practice and learn more about middle and high school science education. As well as access to our Kit Loan Program including complete lesson plans, biotechnology equipment, and supplies.

We are committed to helping connect educators and scientists to provide professional development, engaging classroom experiences and mutual learning.
